The picture above didn't come out very well because of the inconveniently bright light. I was suffering horrible jet lag and had to study for my speeches that I would have to deliver the next day. To make matters worse, I was forced to sit outside in a cafe, drinking coffee and eating chocolate mousse. For early March, it was an exceptionally warm day, about 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The sunshine was unbearable and I had to work in just a T-shirt.

This picture, above, is Neuhauser Street at Herzog Wilhelm Street, facing down Neuhauser toward Michaelskirche (Michael's Church).  I didn't photograph that church because it's covered with scaffolding at the moment.

The above picture is of the tourist map I had. This is the area I stayed in during the week when I was not at the convention center. At the lower left is Sendlinger Tor, the subway station to get to the convention center. Above that, a blue ink X marks my hotel.  At the upper left, along Herzog Wilhelm Street is Karlsplatz where I got off the train from the airport. To the right along Neuhauser Street is Michaelskirche. Below that marked with another X is Augustine's Bierhalle.  Further down the street, circled, is Frauenkirche, then at Marienplatz is Neues Rathaus, followed by Altes Rathaus, Spielzeugmuseum and Heiliggeistkirche. Hofbrauhaus is at the far right.
City Map

The above picture is looking the other way down Neuhauser Street, a classic European pedestrian only street, which I know because I walked a long way down this road looking for band-aids for my blistered foot due to leather shoes that I'm not used to. Ironic to walk due to a foot blister, but in tennis shoes it was not uncomfortable.
